How stretch tents have transformed this docklands space in Belfast

When we were approached by the guys at CARGO by Vertigo in Belfast to help provide an all weather stretch tent solution for Belfast’s biggest outdoor licensed restaurant, we knew it would be an epically brilliant project. CARGO is an open plan complex situated on the historic riverfront Titanic quarter and is a mix of upcycled shipping containers, (socially distanced) low tables and benches where punters can enjoy pizzas, platters and drinks.

We designed, manufactured and rigged two 20m x 15m tents around the containers to provide CARGO with two large covered areas. As the demand for container style bars and venues has increased so has the need for our made to measure shade and stretch tents that provide the perfect bespoke solution. Our previous clients at CRATE and BOXPARK have helped us hone in on creating the perfect shelter for customers and we’re very experienced at working with these giant industrial structures.

We also understand the impact that Covid’s had on both the hospitality industry and the need to be able to get bums on seats without foregoing any of the crucial safety regulations around social distancing. So as venues continue to look at their outdoor space and find ways of adapting to allow more punters through the door, we’re proud to be on hand to help venue owners and organisations to keep businesses afloat as we collectively navigate the new normal.
