FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will we be sheltered if the weather is bad?

Yes. In the event of poor weather the sides are pulled down to ground and interior side panels are attached along the perimeter to further act as draft excluders. Entrances are minimised and heaters are strategically placed to ensure that any air that does enter the tent is heated. This technique has proved very effective and will create a warm and cosy atmosphere.

2. What is the advantage of a Stretch Marquee?

You cannot underestimate the beauty of these structures and the buzz and excitement they create every time they are used. They will ensure that your event will remain long in the memory of everybody who attended. In terms of function they are extremely adaptive and offer practical solutions to problems regarding awkward terrain, logistics and complicated client specifications.

3. Do you operate in my region?

Yes. We are based in London but have worked in Cornwall, Scotland and everywhere in-between including Ireland. The delivery charge will vary but this is not something we put a margin on and it is always supplied at cost price.

4. How do I make a booking?

Contact us either by phone or email and tell us as much information about your event and location as possible. Based on these specifications we will supply you with a preliminary quote. If you would like to proceed with the booking we will then come and perform a site viewing to ensure that all is possible and that the correct tent has been recommended. You will then receive your final quote and an invoice for the 20% booking deposit.

5. Do I have to pay for a site viewing?

There is no charge for a site viewing anywhere within a two hour drive of London. Further than this and there will be a charge which is dependent on the mileage. We cover so much ground up and down the country that the chances are we may very well be able to swing by on our way to or from a job in which case no charge would apply.

6. How long does it take to rig and strike a Stretch Marquee?

We work very quickly and this is the key reason why we are so popular with venues. Timings obviously depend on which size you have booked but on average they take 3-4 hours to put up. Other variables such as terrain and production (heating, lighting and flooring) will also affect the time required. The Stretch Marquee can be struck very quickly and usually takes around two hours.

7. How long is a standard rental?

We operate using a four day standard rental. We find this gives clients a clear day to complete any further installations such as bars, furniture, flowers etc. If a longer period is required the tents are supplied at 5% of the standard hire per day.

8. What sizes do you have?

We have 6000m2 of stock at our disposal, easily enough to cover any eventuality. Our smallest tents are 3mx4m and our biggest is 30mx20m with most permutations in a range of colours covered in-between. It is also perfectly possible to join our structures together.

9. I need a very specific size and colour, can you help?

Yes. We manufacture our own tents and with enough lead time can supply you with the exact size and colour you require.

10. Can I book you for public events?

Yes. We regularly provide tents for the festival circuit as well as other public events. Public liability insurance, method statements, risk assessments and fire certificates can be supplied as required.
